Name: gottalovev , but call me Lou
Team: Work

How long have you been creating fan art or writing fan fiction?

You mean apart from that Mary-Sue fic with my favorite baseball player when I was 14? About 6 years now. ;)

What drew you into fandom in the first place?

I had this pressing urge to know all about the actor playing Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings movies. I found a forum/message board and marveled at finding other geeks this easily. From there, it was a slippery slope involving porn. I was late into the SGA fandom and lured in by fic recced by my flist for years until I watched the show (said watching started in December 2008).

Best thing about SGA fandom: go!

The quality of the art and the fics I found is incredible! So much creativity and imagination, in everything. The crack is, well, out of this world and I always love to laugh. I was intimidated to dip my toe in and share my own contribution - especially late - but everyone has been so very nice ♥

Are you a fandom monogamist or do you participate in other fandoms? Which ones?

I can't really resist the shiny, though at each moment in time I have a fandom where I'm most active in (and yes, SGA is it at the moment, though this month is going to be heavy on Lost because of a fun challenge). I participate in Lost and Supernatural, and read in White Collar, Sherlock Holmes, and Star Trek (mainly). I watch a couple of other shows without pursuing their fandoms (House, Castle...).

Best thing about McKay/Sheppard: go!

For years I've had either slightly antagonist ships or complicated ones (Wincest, for example) and McKay/Sheppard was exactly what I needed when I started reading SGA fic for real last year. Oh, sure, they are totally a bit fucked up, and sometimes there's a lot of pining/angst and general failure to communicate and I love it, but at the core they are FUN. They play marvelously off each other and if I love them immensely separately, together they're more than the sum of their parts.

Why did you decide to participate in McShep Match?

I read most of the stories last year and I love the concept, especially the idea to be in a team. I thought it would be a nice challenge to join and maybe make new friends. I might have a slight addiction to challenges. *shifty eyes*

And how did you choose Team Work?

Honestly? I chose 5 minutes before the sign-ups because both Teams were tempting. I love John and Rodney in a work context, because it's never dull and there are so many possibilities.

Best thing about your contribution to this year's Match: go!

Once I was set on an idea, I was really excited about it and it's been one of those fics that wanted to be written and didn't fight me at every line. I'm really happy about the result, and I can't wait to share it. I hope people will enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. :)

Where can interested readers/viewers find more of your work?

That would be at my LJ, and an easy way to find stuff is with tags or the Master Fic List. The very few stories I wrote in Stargate Atlantis would be in this section, and if you scroll a bit lower I've written three crossovers (Supernatural, Lost and Iron Man) for some reason. I guess I was getting used to write John/Rodney using other characters I was more familiar with (although it was my first time writing Tony Stark, too). I do icons sometimes, and they can be seen here

A word to our sponsors?

Those rumor are lies. I didn't do anything (please do not terminate my contract, I need the money).

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! As I said, I'm a SGA newbie and it's always nice to interact with other fans (I need more of those on my flist, I often feel like I'm squeeing mostly by myself and it's a little sad).
