Busaikko: Random question! Why chibis? (how did you start drawing chibi art? what do you like about them? what's hard?
Why chibis: Before SGA, I watched/read quite a bit of anime/manga, so the concept is already in my system.
What I like about chibis: They are 1) able to convey information in a concise manner without using any words, 2) are fast to draw, 3) cute.
What is hard: It’s hard to intentionally thinking up new ideas and perspectives (as opposed to getting randomly hit by inspiration).
I don’t think anyone asked me “why chibis?” before. Thank you for the question.
