Writing was my first choice for this wonderful fest, but neither RL nor my Muse has been kind of late. I remember when velocitygrass first had the idea to start this community. Beautifully done. There is so much emotion here--and yet the viewer can take it in any direction they choose. The choice of color vs no color, the font and positioning of the lettering, the expressions on both men's faces. There is just so much here despite its seeming simplicity. I can't say enough good things about it.

Thank you! I've been wanting to work with a lighter canvas - my art is usually so dark and full. Because I was recycling the manip (shhhhh!), I felt the rest needed to be very purposeful and spare. Funny how this (art) is so close to the writing process - agonizing over the fonts and the placement, wondering whether to add just one more thing, knowing when to stop futzing with a piece.
