New addition to the family/Crazy cat lady

Sassafrass joined our family on June 20th. She was a stray and had to be separated from our other two feline babies because she had an upper respiratory infection, an eye infection and a terrible case of earmites. After a double-dose of meds, (and her first round of vaccinations) the vet gave her the all-clear on Friday and she's a free woman (she' ( Read more... )

Thank you! I'm not much of a photographer, but I'm trying! They are hard to 'catch' in the moment!

What an expressive face your Sassy has! She's simply adorable! Not that your Seamus and Emma aren't as well. Emma looks like she's used to ruling the roost. Love the white around her mouth.

One of the favorite cat toys in my house is one of those rainbow dusters. Thankfully I picked it up at the Dollar Store for the express purpose of it ending up as a cat toy. I have no idea why they like it so much, but they'll wrap their entire bodies around the thing and wrestle with it - sometimes two of them will tackle it and one will gnaw on the end. I haven't got a picture of it yet because I always end up laughing so hard it would look like there was an earthquake while I was taking the snapshot.

Thank you! She's a welcomed addition. Even though Emma pretends that she doesn't care about Sassy, I believe she's secretly thrilled that Seamus now spends most of his time chasing the newbie instead of trying to get her to move from her throne---our bed or the treadmill----actually, any flat surface!

Yes, those rainbow dusters are their favorite toys. Even Emma swats at them now and then.
I look forward to seeing the pictures of your kitties playing with it---when you can stop laughing long enough! Animals are a wonderful source of joy and entertainment!

I was so peeved today. I went out to take a snap of the boys on the porch (they were just too cute) when the batteries died. I love rechargeable batteries but I don't have an extra set at the moment so I just had to sigh and go back in the house. The cats seemed rather perturbed, as I think they secretly enjoy having their picture taken.
