Back home!

Well, I'm back home after a 9 day vacation in the mountains of Tennessee. My family gathered there and rented a house---thankfully, a BIG house since I'm one of 5 children. We all arrived last Saturday with our own families and spent a week relaxing with nature (and the bears!). My Dad had a blast being with all of us and his grandchildren. It was

Wow! Those bears are so cute and so clever!

(We dont have bears here, so it's kind of amazing to me they were like, at YOUR HOUSE!)

I know! It was a bit frightening actually, to have them come so close. They came right up to the garbage cans and they crossed our driveway.
Apparently, the people who rented the house the week before us had been throwing food to the bears from the deck----so naturally the bears returned each day to get more. We didn't throw anything but they still hung around hoping maybe we'd give in and feed them!
The people who rented the house across the street had 3 small children, and we warned them that they shouldn't let the kids play in the yard. Not safe!

It was a nice vacation, but we're glad to be home.

I bet it was. Wow, that was silly of the last people to feed them!

It's always good to get home, huh? Sometimes I think that's the best thing about vacations :)
