Oh, this is lovely! I love the progression Sheppard has to go through before he gets to the positive of it all, and how that contrasts with the moment he let the world know he was together with Nancy. I love that it's Rodney who breaks the awkwardness where Sheppard can't, that like on the show, they can be awkward together, but in the end complement each other well enough that if one of them can't do something, the other will. And I also love the bits of humour you put in there - the way you described the discomfort in such a way as to have the reader grinning. Thanks for sharing!

Your John and Rodney are pitch perfect, in every way. Comic book versus graphic novel - ha! and John edging just that little bit away on the bed, and Rodney determined and brave, and then...John feeling helpless, and possessive. Really, really perfect. :o)
