The tears came when she cleaned out Albus' desk and found a half-empty packet of sherbet lemons, tucked neatly into the biscuit tin she'd given him last Christmas.
Oh, this is beautiful, in a very sad way. And I can see it actually happening in canon too -- stoic Minerva, breaking down after she's suppressed her grief way past her limit. *sniffles*
