He didn't have to look up as the door to the lab opened, the stench of pre-lunar wolf almost overwhelming his senses.

"I won't ask you to apologise."

"Don't know what you're talking about."

"The bite-wound is infected."

"Bastard deserved it," Snape snarled unrepentantly.

"For wearing Slytherin colours? Or for coming too close?"

'The Mating Habits of Iguanas' landed with a thud on the desk.

He looked up at last, and was bewitched by the bright green of Lupin's new robes.

"What would I deserve?" the werewolf asked intently.

Snape blinked, then grinned ferally, and lunged forward for the kiss.
