When Sirius found his Animagus form, it quickly became a running joke. Out of nowhere, little signs would show up, often in the most unexpected places. Some would glimmer, some would sparkle, some would even glow in the dark, but all said only three words: No Dogs AllowedJames, more often than not the culprit, laughed and smacked Sirius on the back, and Sirius could barely hide his grin with a glare. I can't tell you how mortified I was when I saw you'd got my prompt (!), but I have to say I just love this. It's so painful in that moment where what used to be a source of great, good feeling becomes a damning point of pain. Excellent work; thank you so much for the drabble!
Geez, A. I had to smile thru most of this, especially the magic marker moment ( had a teenager who did this, but it was on his forehead). Then the last couple of lines took my breath away. You always manage to do this too me, and this time I was lulled to let my guard down... Beautifully done, as always.
