Recipient: snapetoy
Prompt: Snape/Harry - surprises in detention
Word count: 100
Rating: PG

Harry did not deserve this detention. He hadn't done anything! And he'd actually begun to believe that the great, greasy git might actuallly.... No. Obviously not. Stupid Harry.

When he arrived in Snape's dungeon, however, full of youthful outrage, Snape was nowhere to be found. The only evidence that he remembered Harry was due was the Pensieve on his desk.

Against better judgment, Harry approached and let himself be pulled in to world twenty years gone. He turned around, wondering what it was he was meant to see.

And there they were, his parents, snuggled together under a tree. Happy.

Merry, you're a total champion! This is lovely; sweet without being sentimental, and very poignant. Thank you so much!

YAY! You like it! I wanted it to be a personalized Toy-shaped drabble.

Lovely. That Snape would do something so kind for Harry ... that certainly proves that some things can change. Very nice.

Awww. I love that Snape delivers such a thoughtful gift by telling Harry he has detention. That's what really made this drabble realistic for me.

I can never imagine an adult Snape being mushy, but there's something about him that screams romantic. Must be all the brooding.
