...And clutched in the giantess's mighty grip, the wizard Hagrid knew he must use all his wits, and cunningly began to writhe and twist between her encircling hands. He could not burst free, he knew, but his wizard's robes were loose about his body and he thought he might slip free of them and drop to the ground. But as he fell from the garment, Fridwulfa caught his hair instead, and saw her prize all exposed.

Knowing himself undone (in more ways than one), the wizard knew his wits would serve him no longer, and he prayed instead for endurance.
