Remus hated it. It itched. Terribly. He couldn't stop scratching and people looked at him funny. Like he needed people looking at him.

But Sirius, James, and Peter had insisted, saying, "It'll be brilliant!" "So what if it itches? You're the only one of us can grow it decently." "You'll be a man, pass for eighteen, and then we can go to muggle pubs and you'll buy us beer."

Remus had visited a few muggle pubs before, and didn't think the charade necessary to score a few pints, but it was hard saying no to his friends when they were so cheerfully insistant.

But enough was enough! It was one thing to help out one's mates, but this? Far too much to expect any sixteen year old to put up with. Remus had enough to put up with as it was, didn't he? James, Sirius, and Peter could only stand back and watch woefully as he took razor to upper lip and erased all existence of the hair that had temporarily resided there - especially the unexpected ( ... )

I actually didn't mind movie!Remus' moustache. At least he didn't look greasy and strawberryblonde like he did in DragonHeart.
