He'd never done anything like this before.
But he'd caught two students at it and the possibilities were...intriguing.
Was this softly glowing object the key to his secret desires? A way to alleviate his lonely bachelorhood?
And responsible for the amazing amount of contraband in the Slytherin dormitory?

"It's really quite simple, sir" Blaise Zabini had said with a smirk.
"You just get into your crystal ball and log onto the Worldwide Wizarding Web. Then you put 'Merlin's List' into the Search Owl and Bob's your uncle.

Severus hadn't been quite willing to try it while any students were about. But now after curfew, he held his crystal ball and spoke softly to the Search Owl.

"Pets for sale, London" it hooted.
