Recipient: jtav Prompt: The death of Tom Riddle and the birth of Voldemort Word count: 100 Rating: PG
The house loomed before him, its dimensions hidden by the cloudy night. The door squeaking on its hinges barely gave him pause as he moved purposefully towards the cheerfully crackling fire in a back room of the house. They never heard him coming.
A hasty stop at Gaunt’s house finished his evening’s work; this first time - but not the last - no one would suspect him.
With Slytherin’s ring glinting on his finger in the light of a street lamp, he couldn’t suppress the smile of satisfaction. The final Riddle had died at his wand tonight. Now there was only Voldemort.
