I like the Groundhog Day trope, I didn't know the Peggy Sue one had a name but now I'll check that out too :)
Making different choices at crucial moments? This should create more problems than it solves This. The reason I love the trope is exactly because it offers the chance of exploring a lot of scenarios, so many possibilities!
I've only read one fic with this trope, but is one of my favourites ever, and I love it when sci-fi/supernatural shows use it. In TNG there was that episode Cause and Effect with a time loop :) so good.
And if you read Harry Potter at all, try Sisyphus by esama - it's a classic: Peggy Sue plus Groundhog Day. Harry goes back to the beginning, over and over and over again...
I used to, long ago, so I'm willing to check that out (I was also tempted by "Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past" but it's too long for me rn). I think I'll read that on the train :) thanks for the rec!
