Thank you for hopping on the SED train - it's lovely to see all this activity on LJ!
I would love to add Ripper Street to your list - have you watched it? I literally watch no television beyond Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones, but I do love Ripper Street.
DW-mediated LJ posting still counts as activity, right? - Anyway, more posting was my new year's resolution, but then I wandered off again, and needed some kind of prodding/reminder to get my arse back here - so thanks for providing that with SED. :)
And I've just looked up Ripper Street (having never even heard of it; sorry, living under rock). Adding it to the queue!
Depending on why you disliked The Librarians may affect how much you enjoy Leverage. It's basically created by most of the same people. Though if it was the magic and legends and stuff that bored you, you might still enjoy it. Leverage is basically a big modern-day Robin Hood series, with no mystical elements (well, they do always seem to outwit their opponents, that might seem magical!).
Thanks for the background info - all news to me. Looking forward to trying Leverage. :)
No, I'm usually all in favour of "magic and legends and stuff" (yay, bring it on!) and I've no objection to the concept of The Librarians. Sounded like it should be right up my street, in theory. - In practice, I bailed after four episodes. Didn't like the characters, the writing, the acting... oh dear, too much "if only". As in: this fictional world could have been brilliant, if only the implementation lived up to the premise.

Already intend to check out those Librarian movies at some point; getting hints that I'd like them more than the TV series.
