I think that's what they're being called. ANYWAY, I want to talk about this whole Twilight obsession, relating to the whole Harry Potter obsession... both of which are ridiculous and completely unwarranted ( Read more... )

I read the second book of Harry Potter... and not all of it because I was vomiting so much I thought I would die if I continued. (Actually I was just sitting in Barnes and Noble one day haha). Even if the writing has progressed, I still don't like the general topic, and I still hate the followers (which is mostly what this was about). Even if they WERE good books, to have a following of crazy rabid fans is completely unnecessary and pathetic. Even with things I am obsessed with (video games, motorcycles, etc.) I'm never that crazy. Only once have I stood outside and waited for a video game (Halo 2), and even that was a stretch for me ( ... )

I've never read the Twilight series, and I haven't seen the movie, but the fans, the movie trailers, and all the other associated bullshit with it makes me never want to see/read it ever.

Never ever.

Ever...

I like Harry Potter. And there is TALENT in the film makers who make the movies. (Alfonso Cuarón, director of "Y Tu Mamá También" and "Children of Men" directed one!)

But Twilight. Fuck. I swear the girl who wrote those is 13 years old. And I hate that Portland is associated with the movie.

Oh, and that shirt rules. I'm not even a big Buffy fan, but that's fuckin' hilarious.

Yeah, they'd NEED to employ talented filmmakers in order to translate crap to good movie haha ;)

That shirt reminds me of how I felt during the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Don't know if you ever saw it... but the whole time I'm like DIE YOU STUPID OLD WOMAN, JUST DIE ALREADY AND END THIS MOVIE!!!

Hahaha.

Yeah. Most disappointing film of 2008. You would think Pitt and Fincher, together for the third time, would give us something better. I didn't hate it, but I thought it was basically the definition of "mediocre."
