Personally I would do #1. Then again I'm one of those people who is like "I know something you don't know" LOL

You know? I think #1 would've been fun, but he talked to me last night, and told me he's gonna propose in a cruise they are taking, so that option is not available anymore... actually by talking to me about it I think he chose #2 for me :P

Well, definitely don't let on that you know what's up or that you've been into the box. He might feel that you've invaded his privacy, even if he did leave his things in your room (presumably they were labeled his?). Just give it back to him, say "Hey, you left this in my room" or some variation, and if he 'fesses up, just help the guy out.

Nah, that's ok, we peruvians are not so picky about privacy issues.. if the box would have been sealed or if I would have been playing around with the ring, THEN I think it would've been an issue, but he was cool about it when he told me so everything's ok ;)

I would go with #3 myself. It sometimes takes some of the luster out of the special moment when your friends already know. That's part of the fun, to run to your friends and see their surprise to reconfirm the excitement.

*shrug* That's just me though. I'm not much for surprises but when they happen I like to be the bearer of the news.
