As some of you might know already, I am going abroad next semester, either to Cork, Ireland or to London. As I'm pretty sure you don't know, I am almost physically incapable of making decisions. My advice? If it's a real possibility that you wouldn't make friends in London, go to Cork. Tourism can happen anytime; Europe is always going to be there. You'd have more fun hanging around Cork with friends than you would seeing the sights of London all by your lonesome.

I've never been to London but I've been to Cork and loved it. UCC is beautiful and it does seem to be a pretty good school. There's definitely a community-like feel and I am confident you will have no problem making friends there. I'm sure the same goes for London, it will just be more of a busy, city-like feel.
So basically I am agreeing with all of your assessments but from what you've written it seems like you love the ideas of both but Cork has more of what you're really looking for.
