I need to purchase a 35mm SLR camera for Intro. to Design & Photo. It needs to be compatible with TX film, and I don't know if that makes a difference. Any recommendations? I don't have a whole lot of money though.

Look up Minolta SLRs on eBay. You can get a good one with a couple lenses and a bag for like $10-20.
Atleast that was the deal the last time I checked. I have an SR-T 101. And TX film is just film that you can develop in the darkroom.

tx film works regardless of the camera. it's sort of like traditional black and white film.
