Do I feel frisky? I'm really tempted to lead the eight of clubs. Otherwise I'll lead a high diamond. The 2C bidder is showing a minimal hand, no suport for hearts. Probably only has one. The 3H bidder seems to me to be showing not only a longer heart suit, but more points. So a heart lead would almost invariably help them finesse my partner out of any possible heart tricks. If the 3H bidder has clubs, they were going to make the contract anyway; I'll probably get finessed for the Q even if I don't lead it.

I think my first priority is to try to cut off transportation to make them work for the tricks.

If I'm not feeling frisky, then I probably lead a high diamond, and let them figure out the club situation on their own instead of trying to bluff them into guessing.

Definitely, definitely, definitely a spade. This is a textbook auction for an active lead. 99% of the time they're not going to have a problem coming up with 9 tricks if we give them time, so we have to get 5 before they get 9. This lead could work even if pard has xxx if pard also has an entry.

High diamond at matchpoints, low spade at imps.
