so... as of yesterday - i'm a master's student. my supervisor is well, thankfully, although he was very near where the tsunami hit and was on the beach two days before it happened. it's wierd being back after a year to the same faculty and the same people that i spent four years with, only this time in a different capacity. someone remarked that ( Read more... )

"what are you writing on?" is just a vague a question as "what are you doing after you graduate?".... don't feel pressured to come up with something yet (though I've given in and continually tell people I'm working on malaria, just to get them off my back.)

sorry i missed you in o-town. had i known you were leaving before the 3rd, i would have definitely touched base before christmas. good luck with schooling.

"working on malaria"! sweet! i just look terrified and then tell nostalgic anecdotal stories to distract them. "hey, remember that time we were in that class and that guy came in and he didn't take his shoes off? HIS SHOES WERE ON!!! IN THE BIRKS BUILDING!!! some people have no respect." then they forget what it was we were talking about and i make a quick dash towards the exit.
