.......wow.
If this gets any more redundant, it can be the newest Pokemon.
Kishimoto should have figured out a way to end the series over 100 chapters ago.
Seriously.
Story time! Yay! Let's listen to whatever Tobi/Madara is gonna tell us about his plan that we haven't already figured out!
So, what's his final goal? Rule the world? Eliminate all of humanity? Be the most powerful person on the planet?
Oh...everyone becoming one with him? What is this...Evangelion?
Just about.
He wants to be God!
And, he's going to do it with the incredible power of...ooh, plot twist...the ten-tailed beast...
Power level over 9000!! Power level over 9000!!
...which happens to be what the other beasts had originally come from, even though they have their own personalities and chakra signatures.
Data does not compute.
We get to see Naruto interact with Kyuubi.
We got to see Shukaku's wild personality.
The two are nothing alike.
Nor are they like the Eight-Tailed beast, who didn't seem to mind his host.
So, did this ten-tailed beast have Identity Dissociative Disorder or something?
Or did Kishimoto just forget that the other beasts we got to see were given personalities.
Not to mention, if this ten tailed beast is a fusion of the other tailed beasts, shouldn't it have at least 45 tails, if not 55? How can it only have ten tails? One tail from each of the multi-tailed beasts during the fusion?
More like, if the other beasts were a fraction of the ten-tailed beast's power, how come some are more powerful than others, and how come some had more tails than others? Shouldn't they all have had one tail?
...this miss-matching information is reminding me of an old epic fanfic I wrote where some wires got crossed the longer it got.
As if manipulating time and space wasn't bad enough as a power...and with no drawbacks, either. Come on...you can't freak'n kill him cause he can just warp out. Best shot is to somehow trick him into using his own skill against him...that, or we'll see some cliched approach in the final battle.
End the series already, Kishimoto, before it gets even WORSE!!
I like the fourth dimension...I think stuff like that is cool. But, I always thought that Madara's warping powers was a bit much. This clinches it.
You're telling me that this guy, who's already just about invincible, is gonna get even stronger?
Yep, this is a typical Shounen Jump series, only the mangaka doesn't seem to know when to end the blasted thing.
"Let's make them even STRONGER!"
This is called "Dragonball Z Syndrome".
-Tumbleweeds and pointless chapters (which was it where Madara sat and talked to Naruto, Kakashi and Yamato recently? That chapter where he supposedly revealed tons of stuff...stuff that has already been told to us or hinted in previous chapters, so the entire 'new' chapter was an utter waste of time to read) as stall tactics.
-Putting off the inevitable battle (just have Naruto kick Sasuke's ass already! PLEASE! I believe there are some fans even rooting for Sasuke's death by this point).
-Overpowered bad guy that never dies (okay, this is more of a Final Fantasy trait, but most baddies in DBZ transformed a couple times just when you think they're defeated...see Frieza and Cell).
It's all there.
Ungh. Every week, I check in for the latest Naruto chapter to see if anything interesting has developed. As in...are we getting closer to a conclusion or not. That, and to see how more overpowered the characters are going to get.
Hey, a 4th Shinobi war...
...like I didn't see that coming! Particularly after Danzo tried to manipulate the meeting to gain control of the shinobi world.
Let's end the chapter with that because it's dramatic! And our readers totally weren't expecting it!

This is one reason I stopped reading Naruto once before. It was starting to get stupid, it was being drawn out so much that you can string it through a sewing needle, the characters were starting to become overpowered (that started back with Orochimaru, even), the plot was too straight forward, and it felt like nothing was happening even if it was in the midst of an event to further the plot.
Like these recent chapters.
Maybe I should stop reading it again and check back in five months from now...ya know...when something might actually happen.
Over-exaggeration?
Hardly...
Kakashi's status during the attack on Konohagakure was in limbo for over eight months, and I hear that, during the "retrieve Sasuke arc" (the one where he had jumped into that sealed barrel), Neiji was in limbo for six months.
I'll prolly end up checking the chapter next week just to see what I can make fun of.
The series is more of a source of sarcastic amusement for me than entertainment.
Though, maybe I'm blaming the wrong person. Maybe it's not all Kishimoto's fault that Naruto has become like this. Franchisers can be cruel to the audience.
Take a look at Dragonball GT or Sailor Moon Stars.
Perfect examples of series ruined by those greedy people that just want to promote more products for the series. GT and Stars shouldn't have existed. Neither were even written by the original creator (GT, at least...I'm not sure about Stars).
Kudos to Toriyama-sensei for standing up and saying he wasn't gonna be a part of GT. The best thing about the series is the opening song.
On the other hand, there were still tumbleweeds in DBZ, and Kishimoto was/is a big fan of Toriyama-sensei.
Stall tactics from the mangaka plus the franchisers...
*shudders*
