Gina stood silently over the recently buried body of her friend, the same friend that she had only just told, or written at least, that she loved him that day. She didn't love anyone really, not even her own parents. Her mother worked what seemed like every second of every day, and her father could not stop drinking long enough to notice that he ( Read more... )

Your writing is great, and this chapter was extremely emotional. ..Or I'm over sensitive like everyone says I am. *chuckles* Either way. Very good. Waiting for the next chapter.

Thank you very much, I'm still learning the art of story telling, but I am glad to see that you and others liked it. Makes it more enjoyalbe to write when others like to read, you know.

any chance of renaming the lead female in this part?

it would make reading ot a LOT easier for some of us ...

Why? You don't like Gina?
I guess it would be easy enough being nothing set in stone yet.

Well for the char, Gina fits... you will notice that I have kept it for part two of chapter two for now... but I can always change it with one full swoop with the find and replace function....

aww.... he did die. Will post better comment when I have the time to do so. Either way... she's never going to get the dirt out of her stockings, but I don't think she cares about those huh.

I have no intention of her getting the dirt out... actually, that might play a part later in the story ~grins~. I am weird that way I know. Yes, he had to die, that is what sets this story in motion. SOrry if you got to like him, but trust me, he will be back in flashbacks as I build the story up.

*Snickers* Okay. Its bad. I have your journal bookmarked because of this story now, and my own journal isn't even bookmarked. I only hope that my book turns out half this good. Then again, I'm not writing horror, so would be a tough comparison... Hmm... maybe I should try horror. Some of my nightmares would probably make it to the best sellers list... Nah. *Bounces and waits for the next excerpt*

Well I am so glad you like it enough to bookmark me because of it... that is about the most flattering things anyone can say to another person online and even more so when it is for a work of creation. Thank you very much.

This is my first real attempt a a horror novel. I have a few short stories of horror but I am usually a fantasy, sci/fi, comedy guy... I just felt as if I had to give my hand at horror, as if it was the right time.

I am sure your work is good, do you have any of it posted that I could read? What genre are you writing in?
