just a postcard isn't enough... call whoever you mailed to and follow up. Make some friends, and network a little. Be your charming self and work it! Art alone is not enough, you need to make connections and friends and be a salesman a little.

How do you think crappy (REALLY crappy too, like Jeff Koons) artists make it, and amazing actually talented people wallow in obscurity?

Oh believe me, i know. I worked in a gallery in SoHo in my summers away from RISD. I witnessed first hand many artists dropping off slides just to have them dumped directly into the garbage.

This is just a small step in the right direction for me. I'm also not expecting to have my first real post school show in Soho, i'm hoping to find a small gallery in Williamsburg, or the East Village or something. Hell i'll show in Hoboken...
