Things that I will do tonight:
1. Write four pages of my Scarlet Letter paper.
2. Grade at least 2 papers.
3. Write one page of my Woman in White paper.
4. Write five thousand words of the NaNoWriMo novel.
5. Help my little brother on his college admissions essay.

NaNoWriMo (again; subject lines are apparently my downfall today)
Finished NaNoWriMo Sunday night after a long writing binge. May or may not have cheated just a tad by working on something that wasn't my novel--totally exhausted and brain-fried, I knew I could get the words way easier if I worked on a Conqueror Worm short story, so that I did. I don't have any great color commentary for this like Lian usually does, in part because my brain is fried with work and in part because I just tend to get tripped up when I try to rant hardcore on lj. But I found this link on a blog today, and it made me stop and think two things.

Books Books and More Books
So, I had a yard sale last Saturday, and sold a crap ton of books. Then, I packed up another crap ton and drove them to goodwill, where they will hopefully find good homes. In the last few weeks, I managed to weed out almost three hundred books from my shelves ( Read more... ) -
Earth Oddity
I'm having one of those nights where I feel like one of my characters, sitting in my dark apartment (because I can't really afford to turn a bunch of lights on), eating lukewarm rice-a-roni and feeling like something, somewhere, has gone terribly wrong. I forgot to mention that on Sunday, Conner took Lauren Z and I to see The Princess and the Frog. It was adorable! It was so sweet! The animation was stunning, and the music was charming, and the story was lovely and full of that special something we all excuse because it's Disney, and the ending was kind of sad, but also very lovely ( Read more... ) -

This semester is finally over.
Graduate school applications are in. Final papers are delivered to the appropriate offices. Latin final is taken.
Was doing yoga this morning before my test, and thought to myself: 'this afternoon will be the first chance I've had to really breathe in four months.'
Breathing. Breathing deep.
Man, am I one happy -
