I hope you have a beautiful day! And I love these comics! My birthday is next week so I will be laughing especially hard the night before about the birthday skeleton!
Thank you for your friendship, and I hope all your wishes come true!

Your birthday is eight days after mine! That's easy to remember because of all the 8s - August is the eighth month, our birthdays are multiples of 8, I assume you were born in the 80s(?), etc.

Yea, though the comics are kind of morbid, they are also really funny XD If I had to nominate a mascot for birthdays, it would definitely be the Birthday Skeleton. Your parents could come into your room at night with a voice modulator to 'seal the contract.' (See again: Morbid!)

Thank you for your kind wishes, and for being such a cheerful and uplifting friend yourself!

Happy late birthday!

Personally,I hate birthdays now. I'm hitting the age where I dread my birthdays. It's more of a reminder that I need to be more 'grown up' and taking more responsible tasks. I have this huge side of me that's child like and likes cartoons and Disney and many things that makes me feel young in the inside. However,it makes me think about my biological clock as well, like almost everybody I knew from high school has now like one or two children. I feel like I should be getting marry or having kids. Growing up is interesting in your 20's I realized. Not fun, but interesting.

Birthdays got strange for me, too. They feel now like a reminder of the life I've lived and the time I have left than a celebration of myself amidst my friends and all I have to look forward to in the future.

I've got friends who have kids, friends who are likely getting engaged soon, and friends who have serious careers. And none of us feel like legitimate adults. We were all waiting for a grandiose moment when, while landing our first big job or paying our own bills or making our meals, we would feel we had finally crossed over into adulthood. I have flashes of it sometimes, but I haven't ever felt like a complete grown up. I feel like a expertly skilled teenager. The whole idea of adulthood feels like a myth we made up as kids.
