Shit, I moved out of the Gold River house because my mom needed help because she was living alone and having issues with it, and if she asked me to do it again (or my Dad for that matter) I would in a heartbeat. Parents are parents.

I dont think age is a factor. Situation is the thing that matters. If you are living with your parents because you are a fuck up and have no way else to survive, like my older brother, then its not good. If you are going there because you are trying to help your mom, and keep a better relationship with her then I say go for it if you think youll be able to live there comfortably.

Tough question about your mom. In Japan, it's common for unmarried people to live with their parents until they get married. And many continue to live with them after they're married too. If you're the oldest, you're expected to look after them when they get old. It's only fair, really. They fed, bathed and diapered you when you needed it, so you get to return the favor years later.

But in your case, it sounds like your mother needs to get a life. If you wanted to be each other's entire lives, then you could live together happily. But that doesn't sound like the case. Too bad we don't get to pick our parents, eh?

I think you can live with your parents until your like ... 30, yeah .. 30's good. And I'm not just saying that 'cause I'm damn near 28 with another year to go at least until I pay all this debt off ... ;-)

Seriously though ... I agree with the above mentioned.

Also ... I believe we are going to see more families sticking together. With housing costs going through the roof it's becomming impossible for anyone to just go out and get their first 'starter home'. Not to mention all of the other financial and emotional woes that we Americans are going through these days.
