My second night here surrounded by palaces was quite interesting. Jogged a couple of miles around a small pond/lake thing and it was very scenic and pretty. Its nice to have something to look at while I'm running instead of sand and rocks. Well I puked for the first time on our way down to Balad in a Blackhawk. Good thing I kept a baggie in my body armor. My stomach was just not agreeing with me during all the turns and dives. I'm too excited right now!! I got my promotion to sergeant 2 days ago (but I wasnt expecting it till july) so I'm really stoked about it. That means I get more responsibility, more work and more pay, woohoo!. Yay, I only have 6 more shifts left at the hospital before I switch camps!! Well, today was saddam's birthday so it was pretty busy here. I am now back at work =( The 4 day pass was sooooo much fun!! I got to go off post and see lovely downtown Doha City in Qatar. Ate Arabic food by the water and went shopping at their massive 4 story mall. Its very westernized and they have every american restaurant you could imagine. I am currently in Qatar on a 4 day pass, woohoo!!! I drank 2 beers and was very tipsy last night, damn I'm a huge lightweight now!! Theres a Chili's restaurant, a nice pool, huge gym, movie theater and night club. Got some sun today now its off the go get ready then drink and dance some more.
