Hm. I am thinking of joining the bandwagon of college drop-outs.

Do any of you drop-outs have regrets?

I can always go later when I have more of an attention span and more time to myself.

I know this may be completely unhelpful, but I once told my mom I was considering taking a year off and then going to college, but she said no because our family has a few people who did that, and they just never got around to doing it I think.... I don't know if that's true with other people or if we just suck o_O.

A lot of the time it is true, that's why I had decided not to take a break. But it seems like it's not worth the waste of money if I have no interest in it and will fail because of it.
I think I may take a break from it to figure out what I want to do or at least realize that I NEED to do it- so then maybe it'll give me motivation.

If you know what you want to do or you are at least good at doing well in highschool, then it's probably best for you to not take a break.

As far as I can tell, though, it's different for different people and college isn't right for everyone. You're smart- you should at least try it out for a semester and see how you do. I just think that I am gonna stop wasting the state's money for now.

I'll talk to you on AIM if I get the chance to log on during class. ^-^

[Sorry for randomly going afk before, I got excited over my buffalo wings that had finally come. >.>]

If I come, I'll probably drag people with me.

Why don't you just move out with me but stay in Southington? Then you can laugh at your family from affar but stay here with all us annoying people. :D

Well, a lot of college dropouts regret being beaten by their best friend for dropping out of college...

I kid.

In all seriousness, college may not be for you, but at least have a viable alternative before considering dropping out.

Full time job. o.O That's not enough of an alternative?

Is it a career? Will it be an alternative thirty years from now?

I was thinking of going into something specific too. It's wierd how we come to the same revalations even though we've been kind of distant from each other lately. Sorry for being so "sdgiohsdg" all the time.

Yeah... You should finish out the semester. I personally feel that you shouldn't drop out because if you're thinking about coming back later, you most likely won't. It's basically the same concept as those people who take a year off but then don't go to school when that year is done. Not knowing what you want to do is a perfectly normal thing. You shouldn't drop out of school because of it though. But this is entirely your decision. Just be sure that you don't regret whatever you choose to do. That's what matters most.

I'm not sure whether I'll regret it or not, but I think that once I figure out what I really want to do, I wont put off going to school because I'll have some kind of goal.
Right now I am already leaning towards a few things, so I may not even need to take a year off. The only problem is if I can't find a school for what I want to do around here, I may have to move away, and I'm not sure if I'm emotionally or financially ready for something like that- and that's probably what would lead to the year off.
I'm definately finishing out the semester. I'm kind of iffy about Intro to PCs but I'm getting back on track with it. I'm definately dropping art because it's not what I thought it would turn out to be... And Western Civ is my favorite class this semester, so I'm not dropping that one.
