Status update

Sorry, had to clear the travelogue out of the queue first. We've made it and have found an apartment, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Great place, walkable to everything, nice hardwood floors, might even have enough space for all our Stuff. Movers arrive tomorrow, I officially start "work" on Monday (three weeks of research goof-around time

Back country wilderness permits are free, bear-resistant food canisters rent for $5 each, but I have one you can use. Bring your own tents, sleeping bags/mats and backpacks, but in a pinch I've got some to loan

I'll talk to the future missus, but given that we'd be looking at honeymoon sometime in spring, that could work really well...
