I love how you wrote this, and annoyed!Iwai ftw XD There are several paragraphs here that I squee over - they're just that lovely.

And you know how I really love this line:

"In the privacy of his room, Takuto draws a portrait of Shinomiya, standing with his bow and arrow pointing at the viewer. When it is done he burns the painting and uses the ashes to draw a lily."

Wow. Firstly, beautiful style, the atmosphere was... melancholic, but it ended hopeful and just.. very nice. I found the characterization to be the most interesting part. Takuto... well, yeah, I was surprised at your portrayal of him-- rude, standoffish and the cussing! And while I don't think that's my favorite characterization of him ^^ I liked it, and it worked very well for this fic. It was really interesting to see how he just... changed. From that first rude guy who was sick of Shinomiya to reveal his... underbelly, so to speak. I loved how you had him open up to Shinomiya in those strange ways -- telling personal things just to see if he'd get a reaction, eventually getting used to and liking the routine, letting him come along to the poker game just to have fun at his expense... it was well, really original. The things he was doing just to tease Shinomiya or get back at him were what eventually brought them closer. And it seemed like that jerky part of him faded and left the Takuto we're presented with in the game ^^ Excellent

I'm not really a big fan of fluffy!Iwai, even though I kind of agree that's what he's like in the anime. xD But I think his past is interesting, especially the suicide attempts, which is kind of how my different versions of Iwai came to be. ^^ Am really glad you liked the characterization.
