Thank you! It will take some getting used to for me as well - I actually got nauseated as I started to take off the beard. It's been 10 years. And 4 since I lost the long hair (see icon for reference).
I don't know what the hell took me so long to do it - perhaps that nobody ever suggested it until now. (I've acquired my own personal Henry Higgins of late.) It was far less painful than the manual plucking I used to do to keep the above-nose area from being overtaken.
Yes... I mean, you have to match. But what you're seeing is a combination of the lightening (which didn't do much) and the waxing, which thinned them out quite a bit.
(i particularly like the pictures of you with the mustache and soul patch. very amusing...almost as fun to watch the process as i think you had documenting it!)

I'm glad you didn't leave it at the "mustache and soul patch" phase. That was scary.
I really like it. In general, I'm not a big fan of beards. I am, however, a big fan of well-groomed eyebrows.
