Books Read, 2011

Well, another year is in full swing, and I haven't yet talked about books. Wonder of wonders. It's high time I started. Let's look at some stats, shall we?

2008: 45 books read
2009: 25 books read
2010: 23 books read

Not an encouraging trend, is it? There's all sorts of extenuating circumstances, which I laid out last year, but there it is. I

You read The Name of the Wind (Patrick Rothfuss), right? This is probably one of the best pure fantasy books I've read in a long time.

I just read a review of it this week where the reviewer said something like, "I've been reviewing fantasy books for 30 years, and this is better than any other fantasy book I've ever read. And that includes Tolkien". He was reviewing the sequel, Old Man's Fear, and gushing how it was even better than the first.

That all said, I haven't read it yet. But, I have it on reserve at the library. Just waiting for it to come in. =)
