Main: Super Junior
Genre: Romance, Comedy, AU
Rating: PG-13
General Summary: School is one of the most common places to fall in love in. And also to get your heart broken in. Chapter Summary: Siwon feels something he never thought he'd experience. At least not with him.
Today was definitely not a good day for Choi Siwon.
A late student had managed to escape from him that morning, during his prefect duty.
He sat for a math test, full of confidence, only to discover that he had studied for the wrong chapters.
And now, during lunch, he realized that he had left his wallet at home.
“Hey. Something wrong?”
Siwon looked up glumly.
Kibum raised his eyebrow, looking at his seemingly depressed friend.
“Ugh. I had a horrible day.” Siwon complained, as Kibum sat down opposite him. “I'd have to starve today.”
Kibum chuckled, generously sharing his lunch with him.
“Thanks Kibum.” Siwon said gratefully. “I have to find that student who was late this morning. What if he tells his friends about what a bad prefect I am and then the whole school would know and I'd be stripped of my post!”
Kibum laughed at Siwon's horrified expression. “You wouldn't be demoted just cos of that.” He assured him.
“Siwon really overreacts sometimes..” Kibum thought, pretending to listen as Siwon rambled on and on about what would happen to him if he loses his post.

“Hey Heechul, I can't go over to your house today.”
“What?? Why?” Heechul folded his arms, asking furiously.
“I got detention for being late again.” Kangin confessed.
“Detention? Since when did you show up for detention? Don't you usually just skip it?” Heechul asked suspiciously.
“Uhm... They said that my marks would be docked if I keep that up.”
“Great.” Heechul sighed, disappointed. Then he brightened up. “Oh wait. I'll go to detention too with you.”
“You can't just go in like that you know..”
“As a matter of fact, I was late today. That dumb prefect couldn't catch me though.” Heechul smirked, remembering how angry the prefect on duty that day was.
“As expected from Kim Heechul.” Kangin laughed, patting his friend on his back.

Siwon looked at the clock.
1:55pm.
The school day ends at 2pm.
“Why aren't the minute and hour hands moving??” he grumbled to himself, lowering his head. All he wanted now was to go home and sleep, but instead he was stuck in math class, listening to his teacher droning on and on. On top of that, he had detention duty today too.
He sneaked a peek at the clock again.
1:56pm.
“Great.” He muttered sarcastically.

Eeteuk stood in the detention room, waiting for students to report.
Well, not that he expected any to. It was just his job as the head boy.
10 minutes past the supposed reporting time, no one, besides Siwon who had turned up for duty, arrived.
Sighing, he opened the log book and started marking the attendance of the detention students as 'didn't report'. Siwon had already slumped over one of the tables and fallen into deep sleep.
Eeteuk didn't blame him. He almost felt like sleeping himself, but he couldn't risk one of the teachers catching him.
“Hi.”
Eeteuk sprung up, startled.
Kangin grinned at him, before taking a seat at a table and gesturing for Heechul to sit next to him.
“You...came.” Eeteuk said lamely, surprised. He had expected to spend the afternoon alone. Excluding Siwon, who was too deep in slumber to care about him.
“Hey don't look so shocked..” Kangin answered in mock hurt. “I don't really skip detention that often, do I?”
“Actually, you do.” Eeteuk informed him, flipping open the log book to change his attendance. “And Heechul, what are you doing here? You don't have detention today.” Eeteuk asked, scanning the log book for Heechul's name.
“I do. That,” Heechul pointed a finger at Siwon, “person failed to book me. So being the model student I am I decided to turn myself in.”
Eeteuk rolled his eyes. “Yeah sure. Model student..”
Heechul got up and walked over to Siwon before Eeteuk could stop him.
“Yah!!”
“Huh? What is it?” Siwon mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
He opened his eyes wide and jumped back in alarm upon seeing Heechul's face directly in front of him, and dangerously close.
“Huh. What a responsible prefect. First failing to catch a late student in the morning and now sleeping during your duty?” Heechul teased, delighted when Siwon turn bright red in a mixture of embarrassment and realization.
“You were the one who ran away this morning!” he exclaimed.
“Yes, and I'm here for detention even though someone didn't manage to catch me~” Heechul mocked in a sing song voice as Eeteuk dragged him back to his seat.
The rest of the day went by normally. Heechul and Kangin talked and fooled around while Eeteuk frantically tried, and failed, to get them to shut up. Siwon spent his time fuming mad at Heechul and forcing himself to stay awake.
He breathed a sigh of relief when the day was finally over.
His anger had gone down by then, but now something else was bothering him.
He couldn't stop thinking about that moment. The moment when Heechul locked eyes with him.
