I've always been a staunch supporter of The English Class. When dull mobs of dull children whine that books are ruined by thinking too hard about them, I'm ready with my firm retort: "Yes, but you'd never fucking read these books anyway," followed by the occasional tough but fair choking of a bitch

for what it's worth, Mrs. Hart just sent me back preliminary comments on my paper (she of course has not had time to get to it in its entirety, she will write again... tomorrow) saying essentially that my paper is not about theater, and noting that such is a requirement for the class.

I feel like Ms. Hart must have some redeeming qualitites as an academic that make her life in some way not completely superfluous to the entire world. I just don't know what they are yet.
