I can't see a vegetarian as being any bit objective after a 10 year hiatus from meat. For example, eating meat after not eating it for so long makes vegetarians physically sick, not to mention mentally. Not to mention the purpose you probably became a vegetarian to begin with. So clearly, whatever opinion you are about to share will be biased. I mean, I would absolutely be shocked if it were a positive experience.
Obviously I know about the harmful effects of going back to meat after we have spent such a long time away from each other, and I have planned accordingly (a meat training week, if you will), and will of course be gradually acclimating myself to meatiness.
As for the "reasons I became a vegetarian" affecting my meat enjoyment, I'm mostly a vegetarian because of my desire to aid in resource conservation and to support sustainable living. Since I have been a vegetarian for TEN GODDAMN YEARS and am getting a couple of friends to give up meat during my orgiastic meat extravaganza, I feel like I have earned a brief return to my omnivorous roots.
I am pretty sure my overall impression of meat week will be as follows, "meat is delicious, but it is bad for the planet and we should not eat a lot of it. I am a total genius for being able to articulate this new and exciting information."
