As far as I'm concerned, there are two types of remakes: ones that are made because the director wants to introduce a theme or an idea to new audience (I haven't seen it, but I think Fincher's "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" would fall under this category), and remakes that are made because Hollywood has no soul, and can't grasp the concept that what ( Read more... )

I really wonder if it'll really get made. I certainly have no interest in seeing it... not even an angry disinterest, just plain don't give a damn.

I consider it a good sign that it does not yet seem to have any info on IMDB. However, it does appear that some casting decisions have been made.

So I'd LIKE to be optimistic about never seeing it come to pass, but then I also had doubts that the "Footloose" remake would get made.
