Recently, Steph and I rewatched the movies "Star Trek: Generations" and "First Contact," two movies I have not watched in several years. I actually liked "Generations" when I was a kid, and after watching two reviews which really didn't flatter it much, I decided to give it another look. I mean, "Return of the Jedi" was another movie I loved

I pretty much agree with all your critiques of Generations. One of my least favorite Trek films (and definitely my least favorite TNG film).

I will note on Guinan, though - she first met Picard in the late 1800s, in that two-parter with Mark Twain. So it's not implausible that the echo would know him. Doesn't seem like they hung out long enough that her echo should know Picard as well as regular Guinan, though, agreed.

Also, I recall reading that Marina Sirtis really preferred being in a proper uniform to the outfits she wore during most of TNG.
