It looks like it's been a full two weeks since my last post. I don't know where to begin really. It's been quite an eventful two weeks. I think my methosd of recounting it will be through a vague and unsatisfying overview

Regarding the canvassing job, I had a similar gig selling vacuum cleaners (although it wasn't technically door-to-door; we had phone operators pre-arrange the "free room cleaning and demonstration" for the dupes--er, potential clients). And yeah, some of the people you meet are really nice and sympathetic (even if they don't go for your goods). One guy even gave me a twenty-dollar tip.
I remember that. How did it go? I imagine it was slightly less soul crushing since the people knew you were coming. That must have been nice. I remember thinkning that job sounded okay.
Well, it was okay, but I actually lost money doing that job. I was too nice, not pushy enough to press my advantage and get actual sales... and I had to pay for my own gas. So... wah-wah.
But I now know a lot about vacuum cleaners and sales pitches.
