For the lid, think (and read) about ventilation. It gets hot in there and you can't cut more holes in the side. Fogging of the visor is also a big deal. The one I got was $$ but DOT + SNELL +euro-whatever-it's-called, but the great thing was it was on SALE and was less than what I was expecting to pay. Shop around. BTW- people have prob already mentioned, but helmets come in different shapes AND sizes. Shapes range from "round" to "oval" and I was amazed at the difference in fit and feel as I tried different ones on. DON'T RUSH. Sales dude mentioned he spent 2hrs just wearing one around the showroom after he found it. Silly looking, but I took his advice and ended up switching shapes after 20min -- the pressure was uncomfortable.

Peoples need to bring their bikes down here (or mine up there) -- I wanna ride with actual PEOPLE.
