This wasn't too dark at all. It was wonderful! Regulus was just right in his anymosity toward his brother (and toward Remus, who he knew was pining for his brother; though he didn't seem to understand that Remus was aware of the Black streak in Sirius... so he didn't know that Remus understood Reg more than Regulus would probably like.)

Remus' responses were also perfect. His longing and his trepidation - towards both Sirius and Regulus: the one brother that he wanted but has lost faith in, and the other bother that he can have but has no reason to trust at all.

Very Dark, very nice. Even though Remus was the one being abused, it really came through that he knew both Black brothers better than they knew themselves. I really enjoy explorations of Regulus' characters. In addition, it was really quite novel to see Remus and Sirius being antogonistic with each other.
