Nicknames, because BFFs have those you know : Fiona, Miona, Soina... this is mostly a play on how often my name is mispronounced/misspelled. XD;
Most embarassing nickname a friend has given you (I Know, it's embarassing and you probably don't want to share, but no one will judge you!) : Hm, none that I can recall.
Any interesting story behind that nickname? : None.
What makes you a good friend to have?: I'm not shy about lending money in times of need; even when I'm asking for money, I don't tend to remind people "hey, remember that one time, YOU OWE ME' because I find it really rude and asinine. I genuinely like to help out my friends because I know they'd do the same for me.
What are some of your faults?: I can admittedly be secretive and a little selfish; I.E., buying some chocolate and then hiding it under a pillow upstairs for myself even though I know my friends share theirs with me frequently. V___v
What qualities do you look for in a friend? : Not afraid to be themselves, a sense of humor whether sarcastic or bubbly, geekiness, willing to discuss heavy things like morals and politices one minute and then shopping the next.
Things that irk you that people do, even slightly?: Rudeness. If you disagree with something, there's always a better way to state it without being a jackass. Also: people who bend book corners to save their place, screaming children, talking on the phone in the bathroom, being passive-aggressive.
Favorite places to hang out : Book stores! *_* Also, restaurants, coffee shops, malls, playing multi-player video games at somebody's house.
Favorite things to do with your friends : Shopping, admittedly. XD; When I shop myself, I do it in damn near military fashion. Go in, find what I want, pay, leave. But when I'm with friends, I'm much more liberal about window-shopping and trying stuff out, etc, etc.
Which do you think is better when it comes to friends? Opposites attract or birds of a feather flock together? (Do you like your BFFS totally different than you, or totally the same?) Birds of a feather, most definitely. I don't actively seek out a social scene, so most of the people I tend to hang out with are people I've met through similar interests.
Your friend needs a shoulder to lean on (Just lost their job, dumped by their S.O, lost their dog) how do you comfort them? : Hugs, muffins and more hugs. :( Remind them that life goes on and they'll persevere.
You and your friend just had a fight, how would you work it out? : I tend to shut myself off until either both of us or I have calmed down, because I'd rather sort it out when I have a clear level head and not about to go off and do permanent damage to our relationship.
You hear something that you know you should tell your friend but you've been told to keep it a secret because it might really hurt them, do you keep it a secret or do you tell your friend?: If they need to hear it, they need to hear it, but I'd try to do it in the least harmful way possible. But in my opinion, lying to your friend about something important is just as damaging as the hurtful thing itself.
You find yourself in a situation where telling your friend the truth would hurt them, and a white lie would not and avoid conflict. Do you tell them the truth knowing they'll be mad or do you tell them the lie to spare their feelings? Why? : I try to tell the truth most of the time but I'm usually tactful about it and explain *why* I have this opinion. If they disagree, I accept that, my friends and I don't have to agree all the time.
