What? How can you be sure? What do you mean false hope?!

Past experience is precious, Mr. Pettigrew. But due to Mr. Daniel Wallace's meddling, we were not prepared.

That Wallace man? I knew they shouldn't have been messing with pointless keys and notes! You're powerful enough to reach between worlds and pluck people from their lives, but you can't keep a simple madman from infecting everyone?!

And you didn't answer my question about the false hope!!

A simple madman whom all of us believed to be dead. But out of sight, out of mind.

We have a way to stop this, but I am sorry, Mr. Pettigrew. It will take time. And by then, it will be too late for some to be saved.

I am sorry you must suffer this, cute little Courage. Your friend, Kairi, is not alone though.

So how do we stop it?

I suppose you can leave that to us, Mr. Kennedy. But I would strongly advise staying away from those infected.

And you're just going to sit back and let these people die, is that it?

Yes.

And no.

Yeah. We figured that.

Well. No heart anyway. So...no worries. I guess. Was gonna fade anyway, and- and this was a nice shot at a second chance.

So this is how everything died, huh? Wow.

...Sneaky group people, still I don't understand why.

Perhaps the third time's the charm.

"Sneaky group people"? Is that how you see us, Mr. Demyx? Although I suppose we are on the secretive side.

...third time?

Well. I don't hold it against you. I was sorta a sneaky group person myself once. Lots of people here don't get that, I guess. I'm sure you've got your reasons.

I wish you could tell us everything, though. If it would make stuff any easier.

The Organization XIII.

Yes, we all have our reasons. But I'm afraid some things are better left unsaid.

And a complete list of stages and symptoms is out of the question?

Mr. Smith never told you?

It starts off like a simple cold. Easy to ignore, easy to overlook. But soon those infected become victim to fainting spells and extreme fatigue. Once the person begins coughing blood, it is already too late. Their internal organs will fail and they will die.

It takes about two weeks for one to die from this.
