How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

... it seems that tigira and I get to figure that out, since I just saw a woodchuck (AKA groundhog) scurry underneath our back porch. According to wikipedia, we have a smörgåsbord of food for him - straw, grasses, berries, grubs, etc ( Read more... )

Or so we have found. The only time we had a problem with one was when it was building a den under the hot tub and we didn't relish the idea of the unstable ground under that much weight. If you decide you want to be rid of it we have a live trapper we use who is wonderful.

One of our neighbors used to have a woodchuck living under their garage. It would visit our yard every now and then but seemed to munch on weeds only. It was big and brown and very adorable.
