wow, this page is stunning. your work just gets richer and richer. great colors and textures, perhaps something bony in there, like a bird bone head :D
I do need to get some heirloom tomatoe seeds, I hope you will have an abundance of good growing stuff, how bout peppers?
Have a great day my lovely friend, so thrilled to see you here lately

Thanks for your kind words, Tricia! The only peppers I can reliably grow here are hot ones ... the sweet variety never plump up in our short growing season ... and I over did the hot ones last year so I'm still working through the ones I dried. Not a terrible situation to be in! My favourite heirloom is one called Black Krim. Apparently a variety from Russia - likely too cold tolerant for your Zone - but they are HUGE - softball size and almost black on the stem/blossom ends and oh! so sweet. No acidity at all. YUM! I'm drooling just thinking about them.
I just planted some swiss chard outside. Maybe I'm too early? First thing I thought of when I saw your piece was iron on ironing board. Ack! What does that say about me? Love the colours and textures.
Definitely NOT too early Shelagh. I'm late! And you're right the "shrine" piece does look like an iron! It's fashioned after a piece of metal wall/ceiling tile that is one of the flag book pages. I love this shape. And thanks for your kind words! :)
Still more to do but I am pretty thrilled with the patina and the etching underneath which needs to be brought out more. Mine'll likely be ready to go next week sometime. Then again, Seth won't be so guess there's no HUGE hurry!
shipped mine out today. said it would take 5-10 business days....we'll see! I wanted to send mine out to you earlier since the last time it took 3 weeks to get to you. but no rush.
You're right Gerri, it kinda DOES look waxlike. I'm pretty sure that's the computer backlighting but cool nonetheless. And yep! I'm pretty chuffed with the way the patina took. And on brass too!
