It's called Navy Trident's, a local (read: Nova Scotia) club's annual duathlon/sprint/super sprint race and coincidentally a qualifier for Canada Games this year.

you are becoming one of those types that do a morning sprint tri, just to warm-up before going to work...

lol Not quite! The second bike was strictly a Zone 1 easy spin barely moving beyond the 17kph (10mph) mark. But it's nice to think about. ;)

You are my hero! Met a 48 yr old gal the other day who did Louisville for her first Ironman. This year she's just doing the half iron somewhere. She said at the end close to the race, she was training 9 hrs a day. Mary Hunt Baker, do you know her?

9 hours a day?!? Wow! That's pretty intense! My hardest weeks will be 22+/-hours and MAYBE there will be a 5 hour ride with an hour run after but ... 9 hours?!? I hope she rocked her IM! ;)

Nope. The name isn't familiar but if she does tri's in Nova Scotia, I probably know her face. Our community isn't that big.
