How NOT to race...

Sunday dawned clear and the promise of hot hot heat ... a perfect training opp as we headed bright'n'early to the Valley. Too bad I'd had a crappy sleep, bumping my hip hematoma twice in the night - a jarring painful, take-my-breath-away experience. You persevered and made it!! Having a bad race like this teaches you all sorts of things and the next one will be MUCH better. I promise:)Yep.
You are a warrior!! Not only was it baking out there it was humid. I am amazed with all that you are accomplishing and under such adverse circumstances. I've said it before and I will say it again....you rock!!

Yeah best to work out the kinks now with the practice races... especially with nutrition. Of all the RR I read it seems to be the #1 thing where peoples days get blown (next to hammering the bike too hard)
