back in the studio groove ...

... just finished a shrine for my coach. I'm not sure he fully appreciated it. I did try and make it not too weird. :) My kids have all adorned their walls, strive for uniqueness in what graces their world so I'm wondering if it's a "learned in the home thing"? *shrug*

that's a great shrine to your coach - very appropriate!

I would love for you to make me something with things I send to you, but I know myself well enough that I don't know if I would ever get around to collecting stuff for you to work with! lol

Well, if and when the mood strikes, Amy, send away. :)

No time constraint Tara, whenever you're ready. The proposal is open ended. :)

I'll definitely take you up on this, Jen...especially timeful, as I was just packing up my 3d/assemblage supplies so I could focus back in on painting for a while!

I read that ... here or on your blog not sure which ... that's mighty brave of you Mister. I know if I tried to do that I'd start craving everything I'd just packed. I'm a belligerent two year old that way. Sorry we couldn't hook up in Looville. Truth be told, I wouldn't have been good company anyway. Brain was initially elsewhere and then TOTALLY fried. ;)

Can't wait to see what you send me ... do you need an address? (fyi no change)

I'd love to take you up on that! It would be helpful to me though if you could give me a really rough idea of what sort of thing might be useful, though like your #2, but in the other direction.

Well, you could theme your stuff - by colour or person/animal, by material (think metal or fabric) - or you could send random stuff and let me choose the theme. Stuff could be destined for a three dimensional piece (think barbie-esque) or more two dimensional with 3D elements (like the above shrine). You can send the specific casing with stuff to include or just the innards if you will. Think photos or pieces from magazines or book text or fabric swatches, gears, rusty found bits, odd interesting buttons, wires, old cutlery, little figurines - intact or with broken parts. Junk drawer stuff.

Does that help at all??

Yep, it does! I wasn't sure if you'd like us to include a case, if we had one, of some description or not.
