It might be my bias for color - but I think it needs a little more of the red family in the body of the piece, to balance out the red bead on the bottom. There is a little rust on the rim of the container, but it doesn't feel like enough to me.

PS - I do need an address for you. Im am totally stoked about your project idea!

maybe its just a bit to shiney?

maybe a bit of green verdigree
bluegreen goes nice with silver and grey
spattered across or repeating the patterns of the wings
to unify the peice?
or rust to make the doll look more shiney in contrast

what kind of skull is it?

maybe if you hang it out on a tree
just a different environment
might show how spectacular it is
better?

;8^y

Thanks for the input Faun. I agree, verdigris DOES go well with silver and grey! The skull is likely from a muskrat ... though don't hold me to that. ;)

i think the neck looks empty. it would be cool to have a number of short necklaces around that. like bone and zulu beads. i'm also not a fan of wings because i think they get over done.

i like the caged doll a lot. and i love the piece you put over it. i also like the dangling washer. you did a good job wire wrapping it. i like the touch of red too. i used to hate red but i find i'm using it a lot lately. maybe red in the necklace would help balance it out.

i'm glad you're taking care of your knee. you're going to need it for a while. but it's good to look forward to the next set of races. it's a big part of your life.
